Would have been nice if Proseries would have an error telling us this....something should have been on the carryover worksheet...and flagged for an error...
Ooops....that would take some thought...and be proactive for their users...

I'm not in the habit of defending Intuit, but isn't there some responsibility for the tax preparer to review the client's prior year return to see how it affects the current year and know what forms are going to be applicable for the year?

Other items carry forward…losses greater than the 3000 limit….unused energy credits…ProSeries is not TurboTax…it is for volume and aids the preparer…

TurdddoTaxxx is for folks doing their own returns. ProSeries is for "paid" tax preparers. Folks pay us to know what is going on. If we feel slighted because the software doesn't always spoon feed us, the folks should cut out the middleman and just buy TurdddoTaxxx and prepare their own returns.

ProSeries never was a Cadillac. At best it was a Ford Fusion. It got you there and back, but you weren't going in style.
