I have a client with 3 kids, all under 18. The 8812 states kids at 3 but the calculation is not calculating correctly. 3 kids x 3000 should be $9,000 but it only calculates $6,000. MFJ makes $200,000 per year. When I look at line 5 on the 8812 which states enter the amount from Line 5 worksheet which is not in the basic program, so I pulled it up on the IRS website and the worksheet is only calculating the dependents 3 x $6,000. I have doubled checked all dependent information and it's all correct.
I have done several other form 8812 which calculate correctly so why is this not calculating correctly??
I have looked at the prior questions but none have this problem. Any ideas??
