2 LLCs one tax payer

IRS says you can have multiple LLCs, but ProSeries will only allow one LLC.  I see in 2019, there was a workaround- sort of.  Is that still the case in 2026?  Can we have 2 LLCs now? How?

You're referring to allowing the 2 CA 568 returns for the same file?

I make a copy of the return, and uncheck the fed and CA EF boxes on the copy, leaving only the CALLC marked for EF.

Then I use that copy for the second LLC return only.   You have to uncheck the LLC box on the Sch C or Sch E for the first LLC, and check that box for the second one in that copied file.

Thank you for making sense of my question.  And for the suggestion.  I am dissapointed in the program.

I agree, it shouldn't be so hard to make this happen.

Im also disappointed  that we have to use 2 separate K-1 worksheets for a partnership K-1 that has amounts in both  Boxes 1 and 2.

I agree... If a client has 3 k-1s now you have 6 or even 9 imput sheets

Hi Lisa,

How do you make a copy?

Or do you open a new return and create a second identical return.

While in the file, you can 'save as' and rename the second file.

Alternatively, you can duplicate from the home base and rename.
