    1040 Wks: Line 10

    So on the 1040 Wks: line 10 it says "Enter the smaller of these cash contributions made or $300 ($150 if married filing separately) on line 10b below if you take the standard deduction."

    Then right after that sentence it auto populates $4,000 which I filled out on the charitable contributions section of Schedule A, so it carried over to here.  But then on 10b I have to enter an amount manually.

    So that means I have to put $300 into 10b right?

    I mean the client will have a standard deduction anyway, but I just don't want to mess that part up above.
