$1,200 DC Stimulus payment to PUA recipients,

E AND M
Level 2

Hello,

On December 2020, DC made $1,200 one time stimulus payment to around 20,000 PUA recipients, they  stated on their website that  the payment will be taxable locally and federally, but, DC hasn't issued 1099 for the  $1,200. could you please let me know how to report this on Dc tax return and on Federal 1040.

Thank you for your help

Has your client given you their 1099-G? If so, does it match their weekly benefits report?

Your client can log into their PUA account to see all of their benefit payments.

"The payment will be taxed, locally and federally, and will only be paid to DC residents who filed and were deemed eligible for PUA. The stimulus payment will be automatically disbursed in the manner in which the recipient is currently or last received benefits."

Hello

Yes, they received their 1099g and their 1099g matches their weekly benefit report.

Thank you

"and their 1099g matches their weekly benefit report."

So, that means you do, in fact, have this amount reported on that form in that reported total?

Is this no longer a concern: "but, DC hasn't issued 1099 for the $1,200"
