Intuit customers are reporting that they received an email asking to Verify their EFIN. This is a copy of what has been reported, please do NOT comply with the request if you have received similar, it is not from Intuit.
ProConnect Tax utilizes a secure portal located in-product for all EFIN updates. As always, refrain from clicking links in emails unless you are confident the email is from a reputable source. In this email, hovering over the FROM email address indicated it was not legitimate.
Here’s a few things to look for if you’re not sure that an email came from Intuit.
- We’ll never ask for your personal information in an email
- Our emails will always come from an email address that ends with “@intuit.com”
- Any link we send you in an email will always be for an “intuit.com” address
