Multi-state return (nonresident streamlined process/easy button)

I have clients who file in multiple states, but are only resident in one state, and are nonresident in the other states.  I also have clients who are licensed to do business in other states, and are required to file tax returns in those nonresident states, but have no income to report in those states.  For any return that is multi-state, I spend an extreme amount of time trying to do the following:  1) get the income to flow to the correct states and not flow to the states with no income, and 2) clear diagnostic errors and suggestions on the nonresident states that don't apply to them (since they are not a resident).  The PTO software needs to be streamlined so that high level entries can be made to make the multi-state and resident vs nonresident return process more efficient and less time consuming.  Thank you in advance for your assistance and please contact me if you need any additional information on this request.
