Import TurboTax file for filing amendment

Situation:

Once in a while, I encounter individual taxpayers who use TurboTax self-prepared tax returns. These clients may use TurboTax desktop or online versions.

They come to me because they need help on specific or complicated issues. That I need to file tax return amendments for them.

Wishlist:

If I ask the taxpayers to provide their TurboTax export file (.tax20xx), I wish I could just import them into ProConnect Tax, with all the raw data so that I don't need to rebuild the entire return from scratch.

To be more specific, more complicated situations such as rental real estate depreciation schedule, business used car depreciation schedule, carry-over capital losses, passive activity losses, retirement contribution basis, etc.

Known unhelpful tools:

The data conversation tool is not designed for the above situation. It'll import a year of return to prefill the "prior year numbers" for the upcoming tax filing. It will not replicate the year of the tax return it imported to file for an amendment.
