Check return and look at the diagnostics and click the one for Per California .... Click that and VOILA! You are there.

George, diagnostics did not show up  still showing 28 dollars due what boxes do I put 1 in

They make it really hard to find:

State & Local > Taxes > CA Use Tax > then in the upper right is Use Tax Table  in rather faint blue > Click that and put a 1 in the larger box

And, sometimes (in Lacerte anyway) that doesn't work.  So I will put in $ 1 in sales, the tax is then less than $1 so it all goes away.
