Within Tax Plans, followed by "Tax," I'm finding the tax due in the very last tax bracket to be wrong, when I do my own calculation. It's correct for every bracket up to the last one, so it doesn't make sense. It appears the last bracket is not subtracting qualified dividends before calculating the overall tax. Are qualified dividends supposed to go somewhere special so the ending result is correct?
Thank you,
C
Look at the whole return. Yes, qualified dividends are treated differently. Check Return > Worksheets --- What do you see there?
What is that stupid 8959 doing to my tax???
And where the $&*(# did that 8960 come from???
