There needs to be a way to fill the preparer's signing date on a downloaded return that has to be paper filed.

We have returns that can't be e-filed and amended returns that can't be e-filed.  In those cases, the preparer's signing date won't fill.  The only suggestion tech support has was to download the return, print it, manually write in the date, scan the manually signed copy, and email the manually signed and scanned copy to the client for mailing.  Did I somehow miss the news flash that we time warped back to 2005?  If I did, let me know so I can buy a ton of Apple and Amazon......

I'm not sure if it's available for every return type, but at least for the 1040, you can print the preparer signature date by going to General > Letter. In "Date [Override]", enter the date you want to print as negative, like -02/11/2022.
