I have the federal 1st extension accepted. What do I do with the state return for an extension?

When filing an extension, the state of Colorado requires an amount due and for the amount to be paid electronically via direct debit.
Otherwise, Colorado offers an automatic extension to file an income tax return.
To efile the Colorado extension with amount due, make sure you have selected the CO extension on the Profile tab. Also, pay special attention to Colorado diagnostics that might prevent the extension from being filed (like those relating to direct debit).
