Residency change from MD to PA. How to allocate income between states

Taxpayer moved from MD to PA 4/1/24.  W-2 wages during MD residence that are being allocated to MD then taxpayer stopped working.  Taxpayer receives SS benefits for entire year which I am allocating 3 months to MD and 9 months to PA.  Also, has dividend and capital gains (same allocation assumption).  Although I am allocating income to PA, there is no PA return populating, only MD.  Do they need to file a PA return? If so, how do I get income to populate?

Yes they need to file part year PA and part year MD.

You might get more help if you tell us what software you are using.

EDIT: You did. Sorry.

The more I know the more I don’t know.
