How do I license this software.

You are asking the question as using the online version.  If that's the case, you don't load the software on your computer so I don't know that you need to do any licensing.

Sign up using this link.  If you don't have an existing Intuit account (for any Intuit product), you can create a new account.  Otherwise, you can use your existing login credentials.

You should try out the product thoroughly before you make a purchase (using Purchase on the left panel of the home screen).  There is no charge for preparing actual returns so long as you don't print or e-file.
