Leaving PTO

If one were to decide to leave PTO for another software package, can one still access old PTO returns online and, if necessary, prepare amended returns for prior years?  

Or, can you just order 2 ( or some other small amount) returns for each subsequent years and still be considered an active customer?

You can access your returns.  However, you won't be able to amend them unless and until you purchase returns (which will expire each year).

You can always buy credits on demand but you may then need to pay full price (which would be quite costly).

Intuit may change their policy anytime, like they removed free preparation of prior year returns with current year subscription and, at the same time, instituted a policy to expire unused credits at the end of each year.

So, don't count on being able to access your old returns without an active subscription.
