Is there a way to merge 2 2018 tax returns? One, has the accepted 2018 ext, the other, the completed 2018 return.

Instead of adding to the original return, a new return was created. Its a decent sized return, hoping to avoid double work.

No merging. Keep the original as evidence of the extension. Use the new one to file the final return.

Do as George suggested and contact Support to request a credit so that you won't have to pay for the "second" return.
