inputting taxpayer's link documents

After 20 plus years using ProSeries, this is my first year using Proconnect, so please bear with my ignorance. I sent a client link request, they accepted and sent  documents in link. If the document cannot be imported directly into inputs, do I upload into my computer, or manually type into the input section from the link document? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Treat like any old paper document you would have received before all this fancy schmancy tech stuff. Yes. Document open in one screen. Program open in the other screen. Let your fingers do the input.

There are not stupid questions. There are lots of stupid answers.

Welcome to the very different world of ProConnect Tax input. I use both and they are verrrrrry different. You will find state integration much better. The diagnostics have nice click me and I take you to the problem in most cases.

Answers are easy. Questions are hard!
