Hello,
I may be doing something wrong. But i have entered business use of home expenses in Proconnect tax online and linked it to SCH E for partnership unreimbursed expenses but the amount is still not reflecting on any form in the tax return.
Business use sq. ft is entered
Total area of home is entered
total expenses was entered in the indirect expenses section to allow business percentage to be applied. business percentage override also entered, still did not flow.
Please help to know how to ensure this posting reflects on tax return on the right forms.

Did you select which partnership to link to? (2nd drop down)
Does that partnership have a a positive income to offset?

Thanks for the Hint. To answer your question, the business made a loss not an income because it was the first year. Would this not make the business use of income flow to the SCH E line 28 on the individual tax return. I entered the Vehicle/Emp. Bus. Expense and it flowed to line 28 of the sch E. however the business use of home wont flow through
nd yes. i did select the link to Sch E and the name of the business on the second option.
The home office deduction (business use of home) is limited to the net income of the business. So if the partnership is at a tax loss, that's why the home office deduction isn't flowing through. You can see the way it is limited on the business use of home worksheet.
