Is there any way in ProConnect to prepare a 2015 tax return and amend?

I have a client who needs an amended 2015 return (I didn't prepare the original), is there a way to get 2015?

NO!

ProConnect abandoned years 2013-2016 last year. This is just one more reason to make a PDF backup copy of EVERY RETURN you prepare with that software.

It's a little late to be amending a 2015 return.  What is the client trying to accomplish by amending a closed year?

It ain't closed if it ain't fully paid.

You read exhibit A saying they haven't paid yet.  I read exhibit B saying they wanted a refund.  I'm guessing exhibit C has the full story.

Fraudulent tax preparer and IRS suggested an amended be filed instead of owing over $400K

They qualify for a refund of anything paid in last two years.  Your Exhibit B is not admitted into evidence.

I wouldn't be surprised if that advice came from someone they hired last week, to replace someone with 20 years' experience they laid off in April.  Do you even have enough information to prepare a 2015 return?  Why is this matter just showing up now, nearly 10 years later?  You may very well need something that shows actual tax owed, but the real issue is where are you going to send it to prevent liens and levies while it's being reviewed?
