Does Intuit offer a tax research product with access to tax court rulings, treasury regs, etc. Similar to Thomson Reuters checkpoint or CCH AnswerConnect?

No.

Intuit doesn't even program their tax software directly to any of that legal guidance; they program the tax software based on IRS Publications and Instructions.

TaxGuyBill - Thank you for your response. I didn't even think about how the software was programed. Would you happen to have a recommendation on a good research option?

Thank you

Google offers access to Tax Court rulings, Code and Regulations, and many other tax references.  Why pay for it when you can get it for free?  Well, OK, if you want it filtered by someone who they claim is smarter than you are.  I think the smart ones are those who still think they can make money by selling information.

lol, you are so right. That is what I have been using for the past many years. For some reason this year I thought I should look into a research program with all the talk of AI making things easier. Thanks for your help!

AskBlueJ is the leading AI for tax. It's pretty good, pricey. If you get it, then make sure you sign up for NATP beforehand. Its a huge discount, like ~70%.

I did hear The Tax Book is coming out with AI, but how good it is TBD.
