I've spent hours on the phone with Intuit at this point and am at a loss for what to do.
I'm a new preparer and was looking forward to using PC, but in trying to create a user by importing a tax return, I get an error stating "files must be .pdfs, jpegs, etc" and "files must be under 30MB". All files are .pdfs and under 30mb.
I've tried at least 10 different 1040s but none have worked, and all have given me the same error message. I've tried resaving the PDFs (as pdfs) and stripping out unnecessary pages so it's just a basic 1040.
Has anyone on here experienced the same thing and have any solutions?
Thank You!!!
From a previous post on this, all that import does is pull summary info from the prior year.
I'd advise stop banging your head against the wall and enter it manually.
Thanks!
I guess i thought it would pull in the sources of 1099s, i.e, BofA, etc, so on this year's requests it could ask for a BofA 1099s. Also i was looking for a 2024 comparison over 2023 and was hoping importing would help provide this.
