    importing 1099

    can i import a consolidated 1099 from Schwab and have the information populate

    I have the same question.  I thought I did direct import last year, but cannot seem to figure out this year .  Anybody with a solution?

    Hi @sbrener-eppsbren and @paintdogos , ProConnect does not have the ability to read a 1099 Consolidated statement to import the individual form information.  However, you can use the import hub on the right of the screen to import the statement.  Then, click on the 3 dots to split the document.  This will allow you to designate which pages are for what type of form i.e. page 1 could be a W2, page 2 could be 1099-div, etc.  Once you do that you will set each form to their respective type and then they can be imported.  This article will provide instructions on using the split function: Using the Input Drawer in ProConnect.

    Instead of going through all of that you could enter the 1099 info manually in less time.

    I bit my tongue and wanted to say that when I noticed the post earlier.  But I didn't want to start my Monday by getting lectured by folks saying they pay good money for something that doesn't work.  Been there, done that ------ many, many times. 😬
