I have Critical diagnosis regarding CA Form 3514 not being ready. As far as I researched, it has been approved by California. Can I e-file anyway?

I want to e-file my return. It shows a critical diagnosis that CA Form 3514 is for e-filing only and will appear blank until approved by Ca and Proconnect.  Everything I researched says it is ready.  Can I e-file with this critical diagnosis?

Hi there,

You’ve come to an Intuit site supporting tax professionals, and you may be looking for support as an individual taxpayer. Please visit the TurboTax Help site for support.

"I" want to file "my" return; are you a tax professional?

If so, filing before the form is ready might cause major grief for your client - especially when EITC is involved.

You  can look up every form's release date here https://accountants.intuit.com/supported-tax-forms/?forms=pto$srcG4T

This is what I see

CA 3514 The form is final and watermarked E-File Only. This form is available to be E-Filed

That tells me you can go ahead and e-file, but you may not be able to give the client a full and complete return. Likely it will cleared up by the end of the week.

Answers are easy. Questions are hard!
