Did you check the box in contributions to get the above the line and force standard deduction??
Hi could you please elaborate in what you mean there? I am having the exact same problem where it will not let me itemize. I go to the following place in the Tax Planner:
Deductions/Exemptions->Itemized Deduction Input
I click force Itemized there for the applicable year (2022 in this case)
Then I go to:
Deductions/Exemptions->Itemized Deduction Input->Contribution Input
I put in the charitable contributions, which are above the standard deduction and way within the charitable contribution limits but then the Tax Planner still does not let me itemize and gives me the standard deduction. I've also tried inputting elsewhere in the deduction categories and it simply refuses to give me the itemized deduction.
I'm baffled on what I could be missing.
