Form 4868 for 2023

Cannot find the 2023 Form 4868 that I already filed. It is not listed as one of the forms that are part of the return.

1. Is the input complete?

2. Did you e-file the extension? 

3. Did you receive an acceptance acknowledgement?

Yes to all three. Perhaps the problem is the client never bothered to answer the last few questions for me to be able to finalize the return, so it was never filed in its entirety. Now they are switching to a new preparer and want the extension. I sent the confirmation screen shot.

There is a printable Confirmation Letter 

Follow these steps to generate the letter

From the tax returns list:

1. Select the dropdown arrow next to the View Return button.
2. Select E-File confirmation letter.

From within the tax return:

1. Select the Return Actions button from the top right of your screen.
2. Select E-File Confirmation Letter.

If the confirmation letter is blank, or shows a return wasn't sent, go to the Profile tab of the return and make sure any applicable returns are still checked for Select for E-File.

Thank you - that's a bit more formal than the pop up window that I used to create a copy/ paste document. I'm still surprised that I cannot view an actual Form 4868.
