Clarification on Amended Return Filing for Form 1065

I want to ensure I amended a return correctly, all I needed to do was mark it final.

There appears to be 2 different methods, I believe I did method 1, but when I try and do method 2 right now, I get an Efile error that states it cannot be eFiled:

What is the easiest way to confirm the amended return was filed? Does it actually file Form 1065-X, or does it do a superseded return? Confused on the process. Ultimately, I want to see an exact copy of the return that was transmitted.

The two methods referenced are 1065X and AAR. You can't e-file an AAR, if I recall correctly.

What are the differences? How do I confirm it was eFiled successfully under the first method?

Didn't you print a copy of the amended/superseded return?

What did you give your client to review before efiling?

That's where I am lost - does the first method "supercede," whereas the second amends? How do I know if it was amended or superceded?
