Business return-critical diagnostic says enter Taxpayer signature date or check a box for Computer date as PIN [override]. What's the difference?

Does it matter if the client signs by e-signature or hard copy on which option you choose?

I personally just key the date, because a date I key never changes. I personally really dislike the option that says "everything that gets e-filed today must have been signed today, and if I look at that file tomorrow before locking it, it'll show tomorrow's date." But if you have a high volume walk-in practice where everyone signs the same day the return is filed, I see where it could come in handy.
