My client is an independent artist and has purchased 3 software plugins to enhance his current software. One helps to create special effects, another is used to render 3D models. I'm inclined to want to call this an office expense.
Thank you for your help

Glade makes plugins and I would expense those as office expense because of their small dollar size. What kind of costs does your client have invested in his plugins?
Thanks for your response. My client is an artist and these plugins allow various additional functions to the software such as 3D effects. I am depreciating the software but the plugins were purchased later as add-ins.
Thank you for your response, but I believe you misunderstood my question. I am referring to software plugins, not fragrance.
They were $22 (special effects), $163 (renders 3D models) , and $219 (character development - he illustrates video games as part of his work)
They attach to other software used.
Thank you so much for your input!
You betcha!
