Have client who received a Notice requesting payment with no explanation. It relates to a Sub-S filing. He contacted IRS and person told him there were actually 5 Notices relating to the return. He only received the one. (Return filed late so certain that is one issue and have idea what other one is.)
Problem is can't obtain a copy of the 4 missing notices. Requested transcript copies but don't believe they are included. There is a number to call, but they keep transferring call, dropping call, and wait times are unbearable, and if you don't answer right away or try to get taxpayer on they hang up or put you back on hold for eternity.
I'm practitioner so can't get POA to resolve on own.
Is there a way to write the IRS, maybe form, to get a copy of the "Notices"?
