We are pleased to announce some great news for our Colorado customers! While the state will commence accepting e-filed returns in mid-February, we are excited to provide you with an early filing opportunity. You can submit your e-files through Lacerte starting February 5, 2025. We will securely hold your filings and transmit them to the state as soon as their e-file system becomes operational. This proactive approach ensures that your filings are prepared in advance, streamlining the process once the system opens. Thank you for choosing us for your e-file needs!
Before e-filing, please ensure that you thoroughly review your return for accuracy. Once the return has been e-filed, it will be held at Lacerte, and it cannot be unsent. Once Colorado is open to accept these returns and the e-filing process is completed, a final acknowledgement will be issued. At that point, any accepted returns requiring corrections may be amended, and any rejected returns may be modified and re-filed.
