Print out any Efile attachment that is included in the tax return

We often have an efile attachment that is included in the tax return. We then efile the return. We would like to have this efile attachment print out automatically when we get a 'file copy'  Too often we forget that there was an efile document attached to the return.

I think it's not unreasonable to expect these attachments to be printed.  Will upvote this.

But in response to your statement about forgetting there was an an efile document attached to the return, you can always refer to the General Information sheet printed with the return and see the PDF Attachment section, which lists all the documents attached to the Federal and each state return.

Absolutely agree!  If it's submitted with the return it should be part of the client's copy.  For example if we have to attach an appraisal to the return (for Form 8283), why isn't that part of the PDF copy?  I suppose if you have details of Schedule D that are submitted as attachments, those should also be part of the PDF copy.  The program should be able to provide the client a complete copy of what we submit to the tax authorities.
