Individual tax returns need the ability to enter fiscal year end dates. Space for dates other than the calendar year are printed at the top of the Forms 1040 series, but Lacerte does not support the printing of fiscal year end dates. For individuals that are fiscal year taxpayers, the lack of dating on the form creates all kinds of IRS notices and letters regarding dates every year. It's a constant problem that could be solved by allowing the dates to be printed in the space provided by the Internal Revenue Service.
Thanks for the idea to allow the dates to be printed in the space provided by the Internal Revenue Service. . We are changing the status to "Open for voting".
