Importing partners information for partnership returns to Excel

It would be great if Lacerte allows the import of partners information for partnership returns.  This will save a lot of time, specially on partnership returns with a lot of partners.  I worked with other tax software in the past that allow importing all partners information into the partnership module.  The information would be in an Excel file.  Information imported would include name, address, ID, partner's type (individual, trust, c-corp, s-corp, partnership, tax-exempt, IRAs, etc.).  Exporting and Importing the partners information into Excel also allows the preparer to send the list to the client to have them review and update the partners information for any changes that may have happened for the new year.  For a new client, it saves the time one would have to spend entering each individual partner information into Lacerte.

Forgot to mention that the partners' beginning and ending percentages should also be in the import/export schedule.

I absolutely agree.  It is excessively time consuming entering partner data for partnerships with 50 to 100 partners.

IntuitGabi: the idea has been around for decades, not just 30 days.  When is Lacerte going to integrate excel to import/export partner capital/profit/loss/etc.?
