Is there a way to suppress proforma in Lacerte 2018? I make projection copies and would like to proforma all (minus suppressed) rather than go through individually.

Examples - amended return versus originally filed, 2019 Projection copies, 2018 with multiple scenarios, etc.

No, I don't think so  ( ..but I'm tagging George in case I'm wrong)

My M.O is to use the status function & segregate my files as Projections, etc.

I move all the returns that were actually FILED (including any amended ones..) to a status called "To Be Proformaed".

Then F-3, select all of those, & proforma awaaaaaaay.

FYI, I wouldn't proforma all (or even any, unless it's a file you are using for projections...) until January (at the earliest).  There WILL be changes/fixes/updates.

You can suppress Organizer in Screen 3 - Organizer Miscellaneous

I do not know of any way of automatically suppressing proforma. I would use a distinctive client numbering for testing - such as TESTXXXX or PROJXXXX as the client number so that they would be easy to sort out when you finally do the proforma. I would hold off as long as possible on doing the proforma to allow updates to fix the inevitable OOPS!

Answers are easy. Questions are hard!

I use a Do Not Proforma status.

The more I know, the more I don't know.
