I called Lacerte support to find out when the Federal ES worksheets would be final and they couldn't provide an estimated final date.
Has anyone else had better luck finding out when this worksheet will be final?

I would like to know this as well. This is ridiculous.
I called them again and was told they still can't provide a date for when this worksheet will be final in the software...and the Lacerte rep's indifference was a little disheartening...
Thanks for the info. They basically know nothing and just answer the phone. Shameful.
sadly you will not get a reply. I would be shocked if you did. Other tax software (less expensive) has these worksheets. It's a mystery as to why Lacerte does not. The "Cadillac" of software seems to be breaking down quite often!
The weirdest part is that the calculations are working, and you can print the vouchers, the letter, and everything else -- except page 1 of the ES worksheet. This is just idiotic. Did someone get fired and take page 1 with them? Ridiculous.

Same. I don't feel like customer service understands the problem. They keep saying it is out of their control and waiting for form to be released. I don't understand the logic. 2025 tax rates have been out for months. This has to be a software issue not an IRS issue.
It is not an IRS issue, it is a Lacerte issue. The people who answer the phone probably do understand the problem, they just have no way to help us. I called again this morning. When asked to speak to someone who may have better information on when it will be released I was told "there is no protocol for that issue. We can't have you talk to someone when it is about a release date for a form." She then said she would look for the link to send a complaint. LOL She did apologize. It's not her fault.
Hello, the Federal ES worksheet is scheduled to be available and final on tomorrow's update (Thursday 2/20). If anything changes, we will update this thread.
Why has this worksheet taken so much time for Lacerte to fix? This should not take this long to do!
Still not available. What is the update now?
Just to further clarify, we booted everybody out of the software yet again this morning to load this update. This form is still not available and still showing as a critical diagnostic.
Does anybody know if you can e-file the return without it?

Just talked with Support and the ES worksheets are supposed to be in todays (2/20/25) Lacerte update. Keeping my fingers crossed but not holding my breath!
I was wondering the same thing. Possibly suppress all estimates and worksheets, file the return, then go back in and do the estimates and print out, or try to e-file the estimates after the fact??
FYI -- I went into two different clients, revised the parameters on 17.1, and the diagnostic disappeared for one of them, but not both. So, getting there, but hopefully, by 2 pm the update will fix all of them!
I must be doing something wrong and I've called multiple times about this. The update doesn't automatically appear in the bottom corner for me. I go to tools and updates and it says that it is downloading the update. It says it is downloaded. I restart Lacerte, it's not updated. I restart my computer, it's not updated. Is the only way to get the update installed to go to the Tool Hub? I don't want to do this every time.
