Why does "data entry error" appear when trying to enter the year of loss (2019) in the 2014 Lacerte?

I am trying amend a 2014 individual return to carryback a 2019 NOL using the new CARES Act rules. I get a data entry error which only allows me to enter a year between 1993 and 2018.

How likely is it that Lacerte 2014 would be updated for any recent enactment, including CARES?

Why not use the 2019 version of Form 1045 instead?

The more I know the more I don’t know.

This will be a paper file tax return. Make the program happy and use 2018, then use some old fashioned white out before you send out the final copy to be mailed. This has been a problem with California returns since forever.
