While in the Input Screen you can hold the Ctrl key and touch the F key. That will bring up a search box. This is overkill for this particular item, since you know it is on 1099DIV. While doing input for dividends, look to the left column and find Foreign Tax - See image Input the client Residence (probably click drop down and hit U five times) then put a 1 in the elect to not file 1116
For small amounts, I link to #1 in the 1st line. To do that you complete Screen 35, top box is Gen. Info/Elections - and you MAY be done. If more info is needed, you will get a diagnostic.
