Where can I find the practice mode on Lacerte

Lacerte does provide "demo" data - if that's what you mean.  Go to settings, set-up, & change the data path.

Alternatively, just create a *test* client and play away.  IF you don't have unlimited access & need REP,  use all 999's for the SSN.  You'll still be asked to REP, but there won't be a charge.

Alternative to changing data path is to restore from c:/Lacerte/17tax/demodata You would use this same restore path for each module. Before practicing, be sure the the SSN or EIN is all 9's and there will be no charge. 

This saves changing the data path back when you get to the "real" clients.

Please note: If you are REP and you use all 9's for your social to test, it will prompt you to purchase as REP.  However, it will be a zero dollar charge.  Once you update the social for filing, you will be prompted for the actual purchase.
