For the child's return, I am getting a diagnostic Warning stating Form 8615 is required for children with unearned income. Where can I mark it as earned?

Agreed. For it to not be unearned income, the kid would have to pay SS & MC tax. So I think the client either needs to deal with kiddie tax or FICA tax.
