I do not know how lacerte is allowing someone else to efile extension for one of my clients. I paid for the client using lacerte, and my client confirms that I am the only CPA used for filing their return. I have been filing the returns since 2008.

What leads you to believe this?
How do you know the extension was filed using Lacerte?
I assume you know an extension was filed because you tried to do so, and it was rejected?
My thoughts:
1) simple error/dancing fingers by someone else in the universe filing extensions this weekend.
2) identity theft (client)
3) you've been hacked.
(altho for #2 & #3.... you'd think more than just filing an extension is what would happen)
