2022 Scholarship are listed on Line r of Schedule 1.
2021 1040 Scholarships were listed with wages.
I suppose that is a good change. I don't really care.

That's not how the IRS instructions for stipends, fellowships and scholarships, read. They tell you, "if not reported on a W2." 8r is "not wages." Otherwise, a W2 = wages.
