Recapture of Section 1250 straight line depreciation on sale of building

TaxGuyBill responded and wanted to know where the recapture is reflecting on the tax return.  I have tried replying but intuit will not let me respond.  I can log in to Lacerte but not on the response page, even though I have changed my password.  As Lacerte/Intuit is closed I will have to wait until Monday and pray that they can help.

If you see this note the item is appearing on Schedule D page 2 line 19 and on the Schedule D worksheet.

It sounds like the program is doing it correctly.

Maybe you are misunderstanding how the recapture or Unrecapture of depreciation works for real estate.  There *IS* Unrecaptured Section 1250 Gain based on the Straight-Line depreciation of the real estate.

It seems to be correctly showing up on Line 19 of Schedule D.

If you need to respond again, hopefully this stupid forum will let you do it.
