Its February 21st and Form 4136 diagnostic is still showing that I can't file? This year with Lacerte has been by far the worst. If Intuit wants to get rid of Lacerte and focus on software for the gig workers and W2s then kill Lacerte and let the CPAs who have more complex tax returns find another solution but this death by 1000 cuts is ridiculous.
@sfmeliss Thank you for posting on the Community. I found this IRS article regarding the Form 4136:
E-Filing tax year 2025 returns that include Form 4136
This will give you the most up to date information regarding filing with that form.
Should you need any further assistance please reach out to Lacerte Support.
@IntuitKatie Thanks for posting that link.
I noticed it was last updated February 2, 2026. It would have been nice if Intuit told its customers about it then, or sooner than today February 21. And I do mean Intuit and not you.
It's February 22nd, why are we still getting this diagnostic?? We have farm returns that are due to be filed, but the client can't even review them yet. How much longer before Lacerte gets things situated so we can file with these?
