Do I have to unlock all of the clients in 2020 Lacerte in order to proforma them to 2021?

I am trying to roll over the 2020 Lacerte database to 2021 and I am getting a lot of errors.  For example, the clients (1040 returns) that I moved all came across as "single" and when I try to change anything, I get the  "error While Updating Tax Services Data" box.

Also..Do I have to unlock all of the clients in 2020 Lacerte in order to proforma them to 2021?

Historically there have been problems with the proforma process. It is best wait as long as possible to do it. I just proforma clients "As Needed" until at least mid to late January. Be sure to update the 2020 program before using proforma or organizer. The single issue was mentioned quite a while ago. Are you up to date 41.1215

If you are getting errors, wait until the next update and try again.
