Client with MULTIPLE stock sales.

Is there a short-cut to assist in reporting multiple stock sales on Form 8949 and Schedule D? Is it easier to just fill them all in in the "Dispositions" or fill-in an Excel format and include download sheets? Where would I find the Lacerte method to this? I'm talking 200-300 transactions! Thanks.

Yes. Read the forms instructions. For covered transactions with no adjustments, you only need to report the short and long term totals. For noncovered transactions, you can input the totals and attach the details as a pdf.

P.S. If you've got them in Excel you can also import them to Lacerte.

The more I know, the more I don't know.
