Canadian wages received by US citizen

Have a US tax client living in Massachusetts. Along with US/MA wages and income, worked in Canada where client is also citizen for about 5 months.

How to report these foreign wages and taxes paid (Form 2555 and 1116)?

To e-file it's asking for federal EIN. But since Canadian company no US EIN. Do we have the file paper returns.

Thanks you,

MJA

Not eligible for foreign earned income exclusion.

Enter wages and indicate foreign employer.

Form 1116 to mitigate double taxation.

The more I know, the more I don't know.
