No, not yet.
IRS has said August 17th.
Lacerte has said maybe by then... perhaps in today's update?
And it will ONLY be for 2019, not for prior years.

Will it also only be for Lacerte prepared returns? 🤔
LOL... many layers to this situation 🤣
Thank you abctax55! We have a short list of Year 2019 individual returns to amend (late received 1099's, corrected tax reporting forms, etc). I REALLY do not want to print piles of paper for the amendments. All amended returns are "completed" on the computer but not yet printed - we are just waiting for the electronic Federal Amended to open. Your response was most helpful. Thank you.
YVW...
Even if the ability to efile the amended doesn't roll out until later this month, I'd still wait.
A paper filed return wouldn't be processed for 4-6 months under *normal* circumstances, and these are NOT normal times 😂
I called "support" and they have no clue. Drake users have been efiling for over one week already....and accepted by the IRS.
and accepted by the IRS.
I doubt that... The official IRS announcement states August 17 is opening day.
Drake is stockpiling them; too bad Intuit can't/won't do that.
eFile 2019 1040X requires that the Original return was efiled.
You may NOT efile a 2019 1040X to amend a paper filed return - per the IRS.
