You don't. Each year is separate. You must start the year and have multiple windows open to access those multiple years.

I think the single login for multiple years is still "coming soon".

On the other hand, if I remember correctly, one of the "coming soon" features from last year never materialized until this year, so I have no idea if/when it will actually come about.

Ok - good to know.  Thank you!

FYI, I have been able to use the single login for multiple years during this year and with the 2025 program.

I've been using it also, for at least the last two years.   I can have up to three years open up with just the one log-in.

I like it.  If I know I'm going to have to 're-launch' Lacerte after an update, I will open up a prior year first just so I don't have to log-in again.  Bet it saves me at least 5 minutes a month 😉

A great tip is to change the color on the prior year(s) program so that the current year isn't the same.  AND lock the prior year returns.   'We' would all have a lot of extra cash to shop the Intuit Christmas catalog if someone had paid us every time 'we' changed info in the prior year thinking we were in the current year 😉

I wish Lacerte had been more creative with their icons. I am a bit primitive, but here is my "artwork"

These are all .ico and you can change yours by finding the 20YY Lacerte Tax program right clicking and selecting Properties > Change Icon

I put these icons in a folder on my desktop "Lacerte Icons"

Once in the Program I change the alternating line color as explained in the 1st drop down in https://accountants.intuit.com/support/en-us/help-article/display-preferences/changing-fonts-colors/...

  1. From the Settings menu, select Options.
  2. Select the Fonts & Colors tab.
  3. In the Client List subsection:
    1. Select a font style from the Font: dropdown menu.
    2. Select a font size from the Size: dropdown menu.
    3. Select Alternate Line Shading to change the color of every other client in the Clients tab. Select a color from the Color grid and then select OK.

Oops, I missed that this was for Lacerte.  ProSeries is advertising it for this year, so I mistakenly thought it was for ProSeries.

Maybe this "Community" should use a different color for each product. I want Lacerte to be puce!
