I'm sorry, that is frustrating. To clarify, are you talking about PW-protecting a PDF of the return to send to the client, OR PW-protecting the Lacerte file itself?
This may be something for you need to reach out to Support for help. This is only a peer forum, so unless other users have experienced this and know a workaround, we likely won't be able to solve this for you.
