Does anyone have any idea when the 2025 Ohio IT-1041 will be ready? I need it to complete trust state filings
Hi! Thanks for posting in the Community about when the 2025 OH IT-1041 will be ready. We understand it is frustrating when a form that you need is not available. We have checked to see if there is an eta for the release of the OH IT-1041, there is not, and it is still marked for e-file only. We are monitoring the form and will post an update here once we have one.
Ditto -- I AM e-filing the returns, but I send a copy of the return to the client with the e-Signature request and I don't think they'll understand "unavailable".... Can we do something to pressure the State of Ohio.
Is there an update to when we can print Ohio IT 1041 for client review? Even if the form was watermarked "Not Final," it would be better than what we currently are dealing with. We have many returns that are in limbo, and it is increasingly embarrassing.
Hi @AnneNiehaus Thanks for posting in the Community about when this form will be ready for print. We do know that there is an update coming soon for this; however, we do not have an exact timeline. We have given the feedback to the appropriate team about having it watermarked "Not Final"so clients can review it.
Clients just don't understand this delay - especially the trust department at a local bank. They also work with a much larger accounting firm who is having no problem completing the Ohio tax returns. This is just embarrassing now.
I can see the OH Form IT-1041 on my screen with "e-file Only" watermark but I still cannot "Print" the form for my client to review?!? Since my clients are not in the office with me, this IS STILL A PROBLEM.
This issue needs urgent attention. Is there a department or supervisor that we can call to determine how we can print a PDF of the return prior to e-filing? There are individuals waiting on K-1s, and we NEED to be able to file these returns and we also need to be able to show it to our clients before doing so.
Not to mention for all you Ohio preparers - the RITA forms are a complete mess in Proconnect
